Eureka, the world’s biggest public network for international cooperation in R&D and innovation present in over 45 countries, is opening a new programme offering opportunities for SMEs to establish partnerships with the venturing teams of large companies. Metsä Spring is joining the programme’s activities, as one of the six participating corporates from Europe, to engage with SMEs working on innovations within the forest industry and related to wood-based products. The programme consists of online events and one-to-one matchmaking, starting with Metsä Spring’s first own session on 2 March 2021.

“Metsä Spring hopes to reach innovative European SMEs that can revolutionise the way wood and wood-based fibres are used. We want to engage with new technologies and bioproducts and help the SMEs link to the business ecosystem of Metsä Group,” says Katariina Kemppainen, Investment Manager at Metsä Spring.
