Metsä Spring has appointed Veli-Matti Hulkko, Lic.Sc. (Tech.), as Technology Manager as of 15 December 2020. In this new position he is working for the project focused on developing new 3D fibre products.
Before joining Metsä Spring, Mr. Hulkko has worked for over 20 years in different management positions at UPM. His latest position at UPM was as a Production Manager of the Kaipola mill.
Metsä Spring is Metsä Group’s innovation company. Metsä Spring invests worldwide in promising young enterprises (startups) and conducts R&D activities also on its own. All ideas within the Metsä Spring portfolio must have a strong link to the Metsä Group business ecosystem. Hence, the goal of Metsä Spring is to strengthen the ecosystem in the long run.
